Oops...one more thing...

I did want to alert any and all readers of this fantasticly exciting blog of mine, I have 2 new little blog babies. Yes, that is what I have chosen to call them. 2 of my friends from Idaho have started their own blogs. Liz and Sage. They were both in the youth group at Berean when Brent and I were the youth leaders, and I consider both of them very good friends of mine. Liz just had a baby 6 weeks ago, (you must visit just to see her BEAUTIFUL little girl) and Sage lives in St. Louis now, and shares with me in some misery of being so far from her loved ones. Make sure to stop by and say hi if you know them. Their blog links have been added to my list on the right! I feel like such a proud Mama!

Two other additions to the Blog list, Sage's sister, Brooke, who only signed on to this madness at Sages's request! And one other, my cousin, Fritz. He is an amazing photographer, and his blog contains some of his beautiful artwork. Please feel free to hop on over. The photos will capture your attention and steal your heart.

Moving!

We're moving this weekend! so everything has been pretty busy. We have to get a storage unit to hold everything that won't fit in the tiny guest house. And when we measured the doors, we realized there is probably no way to get our couches into the house....so if anyone has a great idea, let me know. I *love* our couches, and I don't' really want to buy some crappy ones that will just fit, ya know? Any suggestions are welcome! And an added bonus, the families 2 dogs LOVED Jager! So he will have some playmates for a couple of months!

Judah is dong better, less tantrums, or maybe I'm just getting better at ignoring them! Not sure which. We're getting ready to switch to the big boy bed when we move, and I decided that would be a good time to start potty training too! Might as well change everything all at once, right?
Other than that, just alot of packing and cleaning...uuugghhhhh! Have a great Wednesday!

Yummy in my Tummy

So since $$$ is in ultra short order here right now, we had no Valentines plans last night. So before Brent got home from work I decided to just make him some yummy treats for us to snack on once Judah went to bed. I had almost forgotten that at Christmas, I made so many bon bons, I didn't have enough chocolate to cover all of them, so I bagged them up, and threw them in the freezer. So I decided to cover them yesterday, and then I had so much chocolate left over, I started looking for other things to dip in chocolate! and I came up with all this! (ignore the ugly thriftstore dishes...I love them!)

Hope you all had a great Valentines day. We love all of you!

♥ Happy Love Day ♥

I know that these quiz things are a little silly, but I thought these fit so well with the spirit of Valentimes Day. Hope you all have a little love coming your way today!
Your Love Style is Agape

You are a caring, kind, and selfless partner.
Unsurprisingly, your love style is the most rare.
You are willing to sacrfice your world for your sweetie.
Except it doesn't really feel like sacrifice to you.
For you, nothing feels better than giving to the one you love.

Your Love Song Is

You and Me by Lifehouse

"Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you"

For you, love is very intense and a little difficult to express.

Your Love Quote

Death can not stop true love, it can only delay it for a little while.

Some answers.. .. ..in blog format!!

Erica: you can count on me! I love having a blog, mostly for myself. It is my version of a journal, and if anyone else reads it too, well, that is just an added bonus. That is how I have to look at it! Otherwise, I would get sad that there are very few commnets! But seriously, I can help you set one up! I can see shy you don't want to continue your old blog. A nice clean fresh start is just what you need. I just made a blog for womens ministries for IMPACT! The link is in my sidebar. There isn't much to it yet, just a start. Sharon and I are going to try to update it soon with some more posts!

Andrea: Little Einsteins......ah yes! Judah loves them! And my mom found the jammies in the Disney Store at the mall in Boise. I think they were on clearance when she bought them, about a month ago, so there might not be any left. I looked online at the Disney store, and they only had size 2 left. I'm sure that Ethan is atleast in a 3 by now. Judah is, and I think they are about the same size.

And a short little update here: Things are going well. Brent had a good trip to Idaho for his Grandma's funeral on Friday. He got to see alot of family that he hasn't seen in a while. It was a short trip, Friday morning-Saturday night, but it was worth it. Judah and I are glad to have him back, though.

More updates to come with some pictures. We're on our way to the park for some much-needed playtime!

Dogster!!!

Dogster: the site for dog lovers

I did this a while ago, but thought I would share! At first I told myself I would NEVER do this....then I did, and now I love it! It is like Myspace for dogs! It's not really THAT exciting, but it is just fun. You can request pup pals, give other dogs bones & treats, be in special groups, all for the love of dogs! Kinda silly, huh? Anyway, it has been interesting to see how many Goldens are out there, and even in our own town with a dogster acct. Here is the Link to Jager's account.

Now, there is also a Catster website...I might have to indulge in that as well....c'mon, don't you think Moose feels left out?

a few answers, and some disapointment

Thank you to whoever prayed for us this week. The funds were provided for Brent to fly up for his Grandma's funeral tomorrow, and tickets were purchased, and he will be on his way first thing tomorrow morning. Thank you also to John for "volunteering" to be Brent's chauffeur to the airport at 5 a.m.! Judah would not have been happy if I would have had to drop Brent off. He will be returning Sat. night, so it will be a whirlwind trip. Brent will be a pallbearer at the funeral. And he will get to see some family that he hasn't seen in quite a long time. Judah and I will do our best to manage without him for 2 whole days......normally that wouldn't be a huge deal, but, with Judah the way he has been acting lately, it will take all of my strength (and alot of God's) to deal with him by myself....so if you could, say a little prayer for me and Judah this weekend.

About moving...it was going to be an exciting opportunity.....and still may be. It just may not turn out how we would have wanted, but that is yet to be decided. A family at our church offered to let us rent their 1 bedroom guest house above their garage for $400/month for a short period of time. We were planning on about 6-8 months, and planning on putting about $800/month into savings in order to save up to get into a house rental. The issue is, house rentals here (that we could afford) run about $1400/month, and ask for approx. $1600 security deposit, and $500 pet deposit per pet. So on most houses, if you do the math, it would be at least $3000 for the 1st month......WAAAAYYYYY more than we ever have at one time....so our plan was to live in the guest house for 6-8 months and save up what we needed to get into a house rental. Everything was ALMOST ready to go, we gave our 30 day notice here, and were looking at a storage unit to rent. Then Brent called the husband tonight to finalize everything, and he said he has a 21 year old son that just called him and is looking for somewhere to live right now. My heart sank. You know me, I get my hopes up ALL THE TIME way before I should. It isn't a no, yet, he wants us to give him until the 15th, which at this point seems like forever. Not too big of a deal, we can HOPEFULLY back out of our 30 day notice, since they are hurting for renters in our complex. I was just SOOOOOO looking forward to this move, so that we would be able to eventually get into a house. anyway,,,,,all I can do right now is wait and pray that God would do what is best for us, what is in His plan for us. Why is that always so hard?

A Few Things.. .. ..

Ok, so I need to post something, I know. It has been a hard start to the week, and I feel like it should already be Friday. Judah has been OUT OF CONTROL the past two days. I don't know WHAT the deal is. He normally is fairly hyper, but the last few days, I dont' know what got into him. Needless to say, I have NO energy left.

Then this afternoon Brent's mom called with some news. Brent's Grandma passed away this morning. It is a long story, and she has been so unhappy/uncomfortable/weak/frail for so long, I KNOW she is so much better off now. We love you and will miss you, Grandma Jean.

The hard part starts now. Brent's family is a mess! Not because of what happened, they always were a mess. His mom and her 3 sisters DON"T get along. And ever since we heard about Grandma, Brent has been on the phone tryng to get everyone to get along. Brent was alway the mediator when we were there, and it is hard mediating something like this so far away! So Brent will probably be traveling up to Idaho sometime soon to be there for the funeral and whatever else he can help out with. Brent's Grandpa has been a parapalegic for about 35 years, 10 of which, Brent was his fulltime caregiver. So this is going to be especially hard on Pop (what everyone calls him). Anyway, prayer is needed. For so many things. Peace with Brent's family. Peace for Pop. Funds for Brent to travel and take time off work. Whether or not Judah and I should try to go with Brent. And something I haven't even posted about yet....we're moving...I know, can we just pick one dilema at a time, here? That is another post for another day.....

Thank you in advance for your prayers.

And to lighten the mood, I headed over to one of my favorite (and semi-controvertial) sites, and found that it had been updated fairly recently....and my favorite new experiment was this. I needed a good laugh tonight, and this provided me with just that. *WARNING--not all portions of this site are altogether wholesome!*

and with that.. .. ..I will go, and be back soon to post again, about the things I didn't cover tonight----er, this morning!

Have You Ever Been Shushed?

If you don't know what I am talking about, go here Seriously, has this happened to you? I would consider myself a courteous person in most situations, and I have never let it bother me when this does happen. But this weekend, I got shushed. And it REALLY BOTHERED ME!!! I can't stop thinking about it. I don't want to say much, and to protect the identity of the shusher, I will stop here.
