And please consider this my official apology to you if you've ever had whiplash and I've mocked you. (out loud or in my heart) I've never really thought that whiplash hurt so bad, or that it continues on for so long! Ouch.
So, we got in an accident on Friday afternoon. We were on hwy. 79, on our way to the dogs park (Lilah's first dog park trip) and stopped pretty quickly at a yellow/red light, and a guy behind us never stopped. I assume he was expecting us to speed through the then red light, and he would just slide right through behind us. Well, he must have been going at least 50 mph. and there were no skid marks. I had just turned my head to look at Brent, right before he hit us, and both of our seats broke. Judah and the dogs were fine, fairly unphased! They were all happy to just be able to get out of the car and play alongside of the highway for an hour or so! LOL! I went to the Dr. yesterday, he said that it was all muscular, not skeletal, so he told me to keep up with the ibuprofen 3x a day, and prescribed me some muscle relaxers....supposed to make me drowsy...how about LOOPY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!! I took one last night, and just came out of my stupor about 2 hours ago...ugh. What a waste of $20. At least the guy's insurance will be covering it.
The van is in the shop getting repaired, what a tank! That thing kept us so safe! The guys car was completely undrivable, and the van just has 2 broken seats and a couple dents! I'm just so glad it's going to be fixable. I hate to admit how much I like that beast!
On other news....Judah is sick. coughing, stuffy nose, fever, sore throat, and an owie ear. We're headed off to the Dr. first thing in the morning. He is pretty much miserable. Think of us tomorrow, and send a prayer up for him.
It's also miserably wet here. Raining for 3 days, on and off, on all day today. And today Gracie came to stay with us for a while. We are 3 golden retrievers deep, and no one wants to go outside! Eeeps!
I'm also sad that it keeps raining, b/c I really want to go outside and take more pictures and experiment! There is only so much you can do inside with poor lighting!
One brief moment of sunshine..

Yikes! So glad everyone's okay!
OK, I am now seeing the point of that camera. Very crisp pics! I'm glad to see Gracie joined the pack......how does Jagger like having 2 ladys :) That 2timer!
I agree with the above comment. It's making me really want one of even more. I just know I don't have the time to learn it right now.
I'm glad you guys are okay.
Sorry Judah's not feeling well. All 3 of my boys have the gross nose stuff going on. Yuck!
Wow, it's ironic, I also got rear ended on Friday afternoon. Mine wasn't nearly that bad, the guy was going like 20. But there was a cop right there, so that made it much more complicated. Hope you heal soon!
I hope the Jude gets betters soon! Your pictures are looking great! I'm glad your having fun with your new camera :)
keep up the great shots. you photo skills are increasing greatly! keep taking zillions of photos in "bad" light, b/c you will find that perfect light seldom occurs. have you been delving into fully manual world yet?
Lursh, I can't seem to find your email address. I'm starting to plan the BIG 10 year class reunion. Can you email me with your address, phone, and all that jazz? Also, if you're already planning to be here july/aug maybe we can plan around you a bit? Thanks! us@eagy.net
